Frequently Asked Questions

How Many Panels can I have?

We complete a virtual inspection or an on-site inspection of your available roof space and review your power bills so we can tailor-make a system to best suit your home, your energy needs and your budget.

How much will I save?

Savings vary based on system size, panel orientation and how power is used in your home or business. We can discuss with you how much you could save and can offer advice on additional energy saving measures to maximise your savings.

Where are the Solar panels made?

Solar Panels are produced to manufacturers’ specifications, in factories all around the world including Singapore, Mexico, China, the Philippines and Taiwan.

All panels are manufactured using fully automated production methods to meet Tier 1 standards and ensure the consistency and quality of each panel.

How do I get the Government Rebate?

Your rebate is included in your quoted system price.

Assigning your system’s Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) to Freedom Electrical & Energy Solutions, allows us to reduce the price to supply and install your Solar PV system and lower your out of pocket cost. We will take care of the paperwork too.

How long will the install take?

Residential Solar installations are completed on the day scheduled.

What do I need to do?

The process is simple and easy. We take care of all the paperwork.

We lodge your network application with the Distributor, for approval to install your system.

We submit the Meter change request to your Retailer, to advise the system has been installed.

We process the Government Rebate (used to offset the cost of your system).

All you need to do, is be there on the day your system is installed to sign the required paperwork and for us to show you how your system works.

Then you can sit back, relax and watch your savings grow. It really is that simple.

Can I use my Solar straight away?

After installation, your Retailer will need to come out and changes your meter (we will submit the required paperwork after install).
Once the meter has been changed your system will be up and running.

What does the Inverter do?

The Inverter converts DC (Direct Current) power, made by the Solar Panels, into AC (Alternating Current) power, to create a usable power supply for your Home or Business.

Will I have to turn the system on and off each day?

The system will do this automatically. It will turn on in the morning, when the sun is on the Solar Panels and switch off in the afternoon, when the sun goes down.

Will I have to manually switch between Solar and Grid supplied power?

Your Solar PV system will seamlessly switch between using Solar supplied electricity and Grid supplied electricity, depending on demand.

How do I know if my System is working?

When the sun is on the panels, your Inverter screen display will be showing your Solar production (in real time). Should your system require Repairs or Maintenance, we can help. Contact Us for more information.

What do I do if my system isn’t producing the amount it used to?

It might be time for a system health check. Contact Us for more information on how to keep your system producing efficiently.
